Application
Rangers Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer 4:1 can be applied over:
- Steel and aluminum after matting and degreasing.
- Galvanized steel after matting and degreased.
- Sanded polyester/glass laminates (GRP/GRP) and epoxy-glass.
- Polyester and epoxy putties.
- Old coatings in good condition after matting and degreasing.
Good surface preparation is essential to achieve the best repair results.
Mixing proportion per volume
- Primer : 4
- Hardener : 1
- Thinner :
- - 15% as filling primer
- - 25% as grounding primer
- - 50% as wet on wet
Stir thoroughly until achieving homogenous mixture.
Drying time
- about 8 hours at 20°C (depending on the layer thickness)
- about 45 minutes at 60°C (depending on the layer thickness)
Temperature lower than 20°C is extending hardening time.
Further work
2-component Anticorrosive epoxy primer Rangers can be applied over:
- 2-component polyurethane protective coating Rangers.
- 2-component topcoats.
- 1-component basecoats.
- 2-component acrylic primers.
- 2-component polyester putties.
- 2-component epoxy putties.
General notes
- Do not exceed recommended doses of the hardener!
- The best repair results can be achieved by painting at room temperature.
- The temperature in the body shop and the temperature of the product should be similar.
- When working with 2K products, it is recommended to use personal protection equipment.
- Protect the eyes and airways.
- The rooms should be well ventilated.
- Clean the guns and equipment immediately after use.
